Install weatherstripping
Weather strip is often overlooked but plays an important part in keeping our homes comfortable and energy efficient.
By far the most common weatherstrip we replace is the bottom of exterior doors. The way they seal to the threshold will eventually wear away the little fins that seal the bottom of the door from drafts. The door jamb weatherstrip is often replaced due to tears abuse they receive as people and items can sometimes damage them.
The door jamb trim is generally a simple task, the door bottom door sweep replacement can be a bit more involved, may require the door to be removed and as exterior doors are fairly heavy, and it is best if two persons are involved.
To replace the weatherstrip is a fairly quick and inexpensive task that can have your home less drafty, more comfortable, and more efficient.
