Repair Wood Rot or Replace Rotted Wood

The wood that helps to beautify and accent out homes can take a beating from the elements.

And our homes have lots of wood. Rotted window trim, rotted door casing and door trim, decorative features, windowsills, its everywhere.

To compound the issue, some of the “wood” in our homes is not actually solid wood, but rather wood products such as OSB or MDF. MDF is particularly vulnerable to water damage and while it has its place, I feel that being used for window trim, door casings, or in wet areas like kitchens and baths is not the best use for it.

But even solid wood can submit to the effects of weather damage, water damage, and time. And sometimes the wood rot starts in places that are not easily observed, sometimes it occurs under the paint, and you don’t see it happening, but it just crumbles to the touch when probed.

In any event we can help with repairing the rotted wood or replacing rotted trim and siding issues.
